Healthcare IT Leaders Staff Shares Warm Holiday Thoughts

Christmas deocrationsWe’re in the business of connecting with people, and our friendly, helpful employees first learned how to connect with others through their circles of family members and friends. With the holiday season upon us, we can't wait to enjoy our own traditions surrounded by the ones we love most.

We surveyed the Healthcare IT Leaders employees to find out what they’re most looking forward to for the holidays, and here’s what they said:

Bob Bailey, Principal: "Having my daughters home from UGA. Spending time with my wife Laura and my two daughters, and hopefully enjoying time in Crested Butte."

Trish Brashear, Account Manager:  "Looking forward to Christmas with a toddler... and a preteen... and a teen... and a dog. So curious to see what traditions endure, what becomes a new tradition and of course, what gets broken!"

Rory Calnan, Client Advisor: "I'm looking forward to some down time with family and friends."

Justin Couch, Consultant Advisor: "I looking forward spending time with my family and friends, as well as having a few drinks of eggnog around the holidays."

Brad Elster, President: "Spending time with my family, a little bit of travel, football and donating toys and clothes to families in need."

Alex Gramling, Chief Marketing Officer: "I'm really enjoying listening to Christmas music. I've had a holiday playlist running from iTunes nonstop since late November. If it's kitschy and holiday-related, I'm probably listening to it."

Lindsey Gray, Consultant Advisor: "I am most looking forward to spending the holiday season with my family in Ohio celebrating the birth of Jesus.  I also look forward to giving back to others. It’s important to give back all year round, but the holidays can be extremely tough for some, so it always brings me joy making someone smile during these times."

Jaime Grimes, Content Strategist: "Watching my favorite movie, Love Actually, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, going to my new neighborhood's annual cookie swap and seeing my 2-year-old son get excited about the holiday season."

Ted Justiss, Principal: "Hanging out with our two children and playing basketball and other  games, and watching movies."

Matt Kasperzak, Consultant Advisor: "Spending time with family on Christmas/Christmas Eve, helping out with Christmas Tree Santas, visiting my sister and old friends and going to the mountains in Denver over New Year's Eve."

Deirdre Kurnett, Officer Manager: "I’m looking forward to the annual Kurnett Christmas brunch at my brother’s house.  It will be bittersweet, as it will be the first year without my father.  I'm looking forward to 2015 – I see a new adventure on the horizon!"

Erik Mesquita, Consultant Advisor: "I’m mainly looking forward to seeing my 7-year-old daughter, 7-year old niece and 6-year-old nephew get so excited for their gifts and each other’s company, and always, always my dad’s cooking."

Neika Powell, Consultant Advisor: "I look forward to traveling to New York to spend Christmas with my family, seeing all my nieces and nephews and cooking lasagna. This it the only time they get to have my famous lasagna."

Taylor Santos, Consultant Advisor: "The spirit of the season, how cheerful everyone is this time of year and for the copious amounts of food I will be indulging in."

Lana Stepka, Accounting Specialist: "Going home to Cleveland and hopefully having a white Christmas."

Becky Suid, Talent Acquisition Specialist: "I am looking forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ with my daughters and husband. I am also looking forward to our elf, Ash, returning to the North Pole.  His nightly shenanigans wear me out!"
