7 Ways We Gave Back to Our Community During 2015

We really do care about our coworkers, clients, consultants and community.

Between the countless calls, emails and meetings to match health IT consultants to clients, we like to give back to our communities through our Cares Program.

Similar to Salesforce.com's 1/1/1 philanthropic model, Healthcare IT Leaders established the Cares Program to promote the humanity of employees, foster teamwork and help community members live better, healthier lives through volunteerism and charitable giving. We support charitable organizations in the communities where we work with an emphasis on causes that benefit children, education or health and human services.

And how do we choose which charitable organizations to support? Our employees choose.

August: Donated an entire bin of school supplies through Children’s Restoration Network (homeless children in Atlanta)...

October: Sponsored and raced in the Race to Rally Hope to benefit the Kiddos' Clubhouse Foundation (therapy services and equipment for children with special needs)...

November: Donated several grocery carts of food to North Fulton Community Charities for their food bank...

December: Helped distribute 1,000 Christmas trees to families in Houston, Boston, Charlotte, Detroit, Atlanta, Athens (Ga.) and Newark through Christmas Tree Santas...
